Canadian telecom TELUS built Fuel iX, a proprietary generative AI platform on Google Cloud, giving more than 57,000 team members secure access to 40+ AI models, including Anthropic's Claude and Google's Gemini via Vertex AI. Employees have created over 13,000 custom AI solutions and 47 large-scale gen AI products, driving more than $90 million in benefits and 500,000+ hours of time savings to date, and TELUS's engineering teams now ship code 30% faster. TELUS extended Fuel iX to power its customer-facing GenAI support tool, which became the first gen AI tool in the world internationally certified in Privacy by Design.
