Singapore General Hospital trials AI2D prescribing assistant for antibiotic dosing
Singapore General Hospital
SGH collaborated with DXC Technology and Synapxe to develop Augmented Intelligence in Infectious Diseases (AI2D), an AI-based prescribing assistant mainly used for the diagnosis of patients with pneumonia and urinary tract infections. AI2D lets doctors know whether antibiotics are needed and recommends the type and dosage of antibiotics based on the patient's clinical data.
AIBots: GovTech Singapore's platform for public officers to build RAG-powered AI chatbots
Government Technology Agency of Singapore (GovTech)
GovTech Singapore built AIBots, a platform that lets Singapore Public Officers create, customise, and deploy Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) generative AI chatbots in under 15 minutes, enhancing responses by integrating internal agency knowledge bases (including content classified up to Restricted/Sensitive Normal) alongside publicly available information. Officers have used it for talking-points and speech generation, Q&A chatbots on internal HR, travel and onboarding processes, and survey verbatim analysis. Between August 2024 and February 2025, AIBots reached 40,000 users across 115 government agencies, with 12,000 bots created and over 1 million messages sent.
Pairing with AI for Public Sector Impact in Singapore
Open Government Products (Singapore GovTech)
Since mid-2023, Open Government Products (OGP), an experimental tech team within the Singapore government, has rolled out the Pair suite of AI-powered tools for public officers: Pair Chat (a secure ChatGPT-like assistant), Pair Noms (meeting-minutes generation) and Pair Search (search over public government records). The products have over 60,000 registered users, more than 20,000 weekly active users, and over 10 million messages exchanged, saving officers an estimated 46% of time spent on administrative tasks. Data is kept private within government infrastructure and not logged on cloud providers.
