DXC brings Claude to the insurance backbone running billions of policies
DXC Technology built Assure, an orchestration platform for its 1,100 insurance carrier, broker and TPA customers, with Claude running inside every layer: document intelligence classifies incoming claims documents in under a second, workflow orchestration routes decisions via purpose-built Smart Apps, and a compliance layer logs and can replay every action for regulators. Claude cut claims document backlogs from days to minutes, embedded new regulatory rules in days versus the historical 12-18 months, and stood up a working version of a complex, regulated workers' compensation benefits calculation in eight hours that was 80% right on the first pass, reducing the share of that calculation requiring human judgment from 70% to 20%.
