Solution
Working with partner Bouvet and Microsoft, Stavanger Kommune built its own Microsoft Azure data platform and implemented Power Platform (Power BI, Power Apps, Power Automate) as a low-code solution enabling self-service by users, and has started looking into Microsoft Fabric. The municipality began testing Azure OpenAI Service to automatically remove personal and sensitive information from data citizens submit, seeing it as an ideal test case given the tedious, manual nature of the task and the regulations around handling personal information. The team also built a data lake that powers a dashboard letting staff and managers see demand for healthcare professionals during peak times such as flu season.
