AI use cases for Supply Chain & Logistics
3 documented implementations
Cutting Onboarding From 28 Days to Hours With GenAI
Mirakl, an eCommerce software platform supporting over 100,000 merchants, used the Databricks Data + AI Platform to build Catalog Transformer, a GenAI solution that automates vendor catalog onboarding. Using Delta Lake, Unity Catalog, MLflow, Lakeflow Jobs and Model Serving running GPT, Llama, Mistral and CLIP models, Mirakl cut supplier catalog onboarding from an average of 28 days to under 24 hours (a 91% reduction) with roughly 50% fewer categorization errors, and extended the platform to Mirakl Nexus for agentic commerce.
Dongwon Improves Price Forecasting and Inventory Efficiency
Dongwon Group, a South Korean seafood, food, packaging and logistics conglomerate, adopted the Databricks Data + AI Platform to unify previously siloed data across business units and enable enterprise-wide AI-driven decision-making. Using Delta Lake and Unity Catalog, Dongwon built a raw material price forecasting model that reached approximately 96% accuracy and an inventory optimization system that saves billions of won per month, while AI/BI Genie and Databricks Assistant enabled natural-language data exploration for non-technical staff.
Martur Fompak International Boosts Throughput and Efficiency with Intelligent Robotics Enabled by Joule and Embodied AI
Martur Fompak International, a global automotive seating and interior systems manufacturer, deployed an autonomous intralogistics model using SAP's Joule solution and embodied AI capabilities, partnering with UK-based robotics company Humanoid. Built on SAP S/4HANA and SAP Extended Warehouse Management, the system gives humanoid robots and autonomous mobile robots real-time knowledge of tasks, storage locations, sequencing and production priorities, letting them identify, transport and deliver materials to the production line while continuously confirming actions back into SAP systems. The company has 400 daily production line feeds with 100% SAP software-driven decision making. Early results show increased throughput and fewer errors, with a future target of up to five times greater work efficiency for mass production. Martur Fompak International was named sole winner in the AI Excellence category at the 2026 SAP Innovation Awards.
