Munich Re HealthTech improves insurance analytics with Oracle AI solutions

Munich Re HealthTech (MRHT), a German health-tech provider to the health insurance industry, migrated its SMAART actuarial application to Oracle Autonomous AI Database on OCI and built an AI chatbot using OCI Generative AI, Oracle Autonomous Database's Select AI, and AI Vector Search. The chatbot lets actuaries, underwriters, and senior management search the knowledgebase and get instant, multilingual, conversational answers, correctly answering more than 90% of questions posed to it. Oracle APEX automation also cut the time to build analytical dashboards in SMAART from 15 days to about 20 minutes, and Oracle Globally Distributed Autonomous Database let MRHT meet per-country data residency requirements. The company reports lower development costs, stronger compliance, and real-time insights for pricing, risk assessment, and underwriting.
