SoundHound AI migrated its hybrid on-premises and cloud technology platform to Oracle Cloud Infrastructure in 2021, becoming an early adopter of OCI AI infrastructure to run the complex AI models behind its voice and conversational AI agents. The company saw a 50% to 60% performance boost and a 50% cost reduction while doubling usage in its first six months on OCI, growing from about 100 million queries in its first month on OCI to more than 1 billion queries a month by year's end, and expanding into restaurant, healthcare and financial services verticals.
