The challenge

As Slovenské Elektrárne's operations expanded across nuclear, hydro and renewable plants, critical knowledge became scattered across systems and documents, slowing decision-making and increasing operational risk, while aging infrastructure and accumulated technical debt were slowing IT service delivery.

The solution

Working with Microsoft, Slovenské Elektrárne built a cloud-native data and analytics platform and used Microsoft Foundry to develop AI-powered agents and a company-wide chatbot within a secure hybrid architecture that connects on-premises systems with the cloud, kept outside core nuclear plant operations. GitHub Copilot helped accelerate development. Employees ask questions in natural language and receive contextual answers drawn from documentation, enterprise systems and historical data, and the organization used Azure Vision to transform 29 terabytes of scan data into a structured digital map of 327 assets.

Building a clean energy future with natural language analytics

Williams, a large-scale natural gas infrastructure operator, deployed Databricks AI/BI Genie to give commercial, regulatory, accounting and technical staff natural-language, self-serve access to analytics. The team flattened 27 disparate tables into SQL models that Genie Spaces reason over, encoding internal acronyms and business logic into Genie's instructions, powered by Databricks Unity Catalog. A data request that previously took an analyst five days now completes in seconds with validated accuracy, and the weekly backlog of data requests dropped from up to ten to one or two, freeing analysts for predictive modeling and enterprise projects.
