KT Corporation and Microsoft unveiled a five-year, multibillion-dollar partnership spanning five areas: developing a Korea-customized version of GPT-4o (and exploring a customized version of Microsoft's Phi small language models) via Azure OpenAI Service using KT's Korean-language data; delivering a Korean sovereign cloud solution (Secure Public Cloud) built on Microsoft Cloud for Sovereignty; establishing a new AX-specialized service company delivering Microsoft-powered AI transformation services; advancing AI R&D through a co-innovation center with Microsoft Research; and migrating KT's IT workloads to Azure while deploying Microsoft 365 Copilot and GitHub Copilot to KT employees. KT will also use Microsoft Copilot Studio and Azure AI Studio to develop custom AI agents.
