Cyera scales agentic AI across 1,500 employees with Claude Enterprise

Overview

Cyera, an AI data security platform, rolled out Claude Cowork company-wide to all 1,500 employees in 17 days, connecting it to 40 tools including Slack, Salesforce, Asana, Google Drive and Notion, plus a governed Snowflake semantic layer of 40 documented tables built by its data engineering team. Weekly active usage of Claude reached 88% across the company. A scheduled task now triages Cyera's internal Ask Claude Slack channel, cutting daily triage from five-to-six hours to about 30 minutes, and the legal team launched a Cowork plugin with 20 playbooks that pre-reviews inbound vendor NDAs against Cyera's negotiating positions.

The challenge

Claude Code had spread across most of Cyera's R&D organization, and other employees could see what agentic AI was doing for engineering but had no comparable access themselves; most non-technical staff stalled at the command line when engineers tried to teach them Claude Code. Cyera's own customer research shows employees without an approved AI tool at work will find one anyway, outside their company's network and their security team's oversight.

The solution

Cyera rolled out Claude Cowork, a general-purpose agentic tool with an approachable interface, to give non-technical staff the same agentic capability R&D had with Claude Code. The team ran data-mapping exercises before rollout to decide which systems Claude would connect to and which held production data, used its own platform ("Cyera on Cyera") to map and re-scope Snowflake table permissions, and built a governed semantic layer of 40 documented tables by department with a skill on company-specific definitions. Cowork was connected to 40 tools and several homegrown MCP servers (Slack, Salesforce, Asana, Google Drive, Notion and others), and rolled out to the entire 1,500-person company in 17 days after a brief pilot, backed by livestreamed demos, twice-weekly office hours, and department-specific sessions.

Weekly active usage of Claude reached 88% across Cyera's roughly 1,500 employees. A scheduled task now reads and drafts replies in the internal Ask Claude Slack channel, cutting daily triage from five or six hours to about 30 minutes. Ahead of a New York marketing event, the team used Cowork to build a targeted 3,500-person outreach list, taking registrations from 105 to more than 400 overnight. The legal team's Cowork plugin with 20 playbooks pre-reviews inbound vendor NDAs against Cyera's negotiating positions, and individual employees built agents that save up to 12 hours a week on ticket triage and up to 30 minutes per DM-triage run.
