The advisor is built on Anthropic's Claude Sonnet 4.5, accessed via Databricks AI Model Serving, with Lakeflow Spark Declarative Pipelines processing billions of rows of smart meter data nightly and Unity Catalog governing data and AI models. The team used MLflow's GenAI evaluation framework to implement automated AI "judges" that reject and regenerate failing insights before they reach customers. SSE Airtricity went from concept to production in about four months; within the first month it saw a 12% increase in unique visitors to the insights section, and 90% of logged-in customers now engage with the personalized insights.
