Hyundai Motor Group deploys autonomous mobile robots across its Metaplant America manufacturing process

Hyundai Motor Group's Autonomous Mobile Robot (AMR), which uses SLAM technology with LiDAR sensors and 3D depth cameras to navigate and select optimal travel paths, is currently being used across the entire manufacturing process at Hyundai Motor Group Metaplant America (HMGMA). The Group also showcased other AI robotics products at CES 2026 including the Atlas humanoid robot, Spot integrated with Orbit AI software for facility inspection, and the AI Keeper quality-inspection solution based on Spot that autonomously detects assembly defects on the automotive production line.
