dsm-firmenich implemented AVEVA PI Server and Asset Framework globally to establish an Operations Data Layer (ODL), a standardized data platform supporting 3,500 users, using the OEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness) KPI to drive business value. Process data from the PI Server is contextualized in Shiftconnector plant process management to help manufacturing teams drive continuous improvement in batch and continuous operations, from active ingredients manufacturing to filling and packing lines. Collected and contextualized performance data preserves operational knowledge, which can then be accessed through an AI copilot supporting industrial workers in troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and onboarding new workforce.
