AI-Media and ITV Announce Landmark Partnership to Revolutionize Captioning Services

ITV, the UK's largest commercial broadcaster, partnered with AI-Media to deploy its LEXI live automatic captioning solution across ITV's broadcast network, including its 18 regional news variants, using AI-Media's SDI Encoder Pro Cards to deliver captioning as VANC embedded data, plus AI-Media's Alta product for ITVX and other IP video workflows. The shift from a manual regional-news captioning workflow to LEXI's automated system is expected to significantly reduce staffing requirements and costs while enabling more captions, increased reliability and reduced latency; ITV's captioning team continues to develop bespoke topic models to maintain accuracy.
